Job Description


Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Electrical / Electronic Engineering experience:
    • Digital and Analog design
    • FPGA Development using VHDL (Xilinx and Altera)
    • PCB Test Fixture Development
  • Bachelor' s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • Experience with EMC/EMI certification a plus
  • Strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Team player with the ability to communicate to various backgrounds and levels
Responsibilities:
New Product Development
  • Requirements gathering Generate engineering requirements from market requirements
  • Authoring functional specifications
  • Circuit design and FPGA development
  • Selecting and qualifying components
  • Schematic capture
  • Working closely with PCB layout (CAD)
  • Hardware prototype verification testing
  • Work closely with Software Engineers on Hardware / Software integration
  • Participate in system-level design reviews
  • Assist with the performance and certification (UL, FM, CE, ATEX) testing
  • Support development efforts with custom PCB test fixtures
  • Boundary Scan design and development
Sustainment Engineering
  • Product cost reductions
  • Re-design due to component obsolescence and / or quality improvements
  • Manufacturing support
  • CM support Boundary Scan, Test Fixtures
  • Customer support via phone, email or site visits
